- Have you always wanted to get a tattoo but hate needles? Or maybe you just cant figure out what you want permanently inked into your skin? Or you have just wanted to play around in Photoshop some? Well this tutorial will be great for you then. Allright, take a seat and lets get inked!
- Open up an image, I am using another Kirsten Dunst image found somewhere on the www. Immediately create a new layer by pressing the “new layer” icon in your layers palette.
- You can either create your own tattoo designs, or you can find images on the web. Images with white background work best, fyi because they are less time consuming...
- So let us get our first image, like this one:
- Immediately set the mode to "darken" in your layers palette. It should now automatically take out the white background area.
- Now hit “ctrl t” on your keyboard and resize it so it fits somewhere on the skin like so:
- While the transfrom box is still around your image, skew it some so it fits better on the skin by holding down “ctrl alt” on your keyboard.
- Now when you have it placed where you want it, press “enter” on your keyboard.
- It is now time to erase the bits and pieces of the tattoo that are hanging off the skin. So grab your eraser tool
by pressing “E” on your keyboard. Start erasing. Your image should now look similar to this: - Now we want to drop the opacity on it so it looks more realistic and not so saturated. So find a good percentage that suits your image, for mine I am using opacity: 68%
- Can you believe you done? Just keep finding images you want to use as tattoos and remember to skew, distort and drop the opacity to make them look real. You can add as many tattoos or as few as you want. Have fun!
